Lou
recently collaborated with Grant
Scott & Hurley, an advertising agency that was formed
in San Francisco in 1998 to basically make advertising fun again.
The result was Lou's illustration for this ad for Menlo Worldwide
under the guiding hand of AD Will Roth.
The
agency's edgy spirit is reflected in the restored firehouse
the firm occupies, complete with working firepole that is a
fast two-story drop for anyone brave enough. Lou admits that
during a recent visit there, he chickened out of trying the
pole. But thrill-seeking Art Buyer Philip McCanless was happy
to demonstrate the time it saves getting to the ground floor.
It's carrying layouts up the pole that takes time.
